Varsity gymnastics score high

The Ladyjackets hosted their first home meet of the season on Wednesday and scored a strong second-place finish against South Burlington. Final team scores were South Burlington 119.7 and Milton 111.7

Top placings for Milton were: 

Danielle Archambault – 1st on beam with 8.55; 2nd on bars with 6.95; 3rd on vault with 8.25
Karly Fereday – 2nd on floor with 7.6; 4th on bars with 6.0
Maria Castine tied for 3rd on floor with a score of 7.4

Coach Mary Thelen is pleased with the team’s progress. “The girls are looking good and working hard. We have improved over our first meet and hope to continue to improve over the season.”

Up next, the girls travel to Randolph for a 7 p.m. meet on Friday, Dec. 28.
