Brother and sister get first turkeys

Alec and Alissa Sheltra (photo, above) got their fi rst turkeys on Vermont's Youth Turkey Hunting weekend. Alec shot his 12 lb. 2 oz. turkey with a 3-1/2 in. beard at 15 yards, then handed the 20-gauge shotgun over to his sister. She then shot her 12 lb. 4 oz. turkey with a 4-inch beard at 25 yards. They were both hunting with their father Bert Sheltra.
